Binga Beach Resort – Discovering the Quiet Side of San Vicente, Palawan
After spending more than two weeks exploring Palawan, staying at Binga Beach Resort felt like the perfect reward. Located along the quiet shores of Lumambong Beach in San Vicente, Palawan, Binga Beach Resort is a peaceful beachfront getaway surrounded by nature. It is perfect for travelers looking to escape the crowds and slow down. With its laid-back atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful beach setting, it’s an ideal place to relax and recharge.
Getting to Binga Beach Resort is also fairly easy. From Long Beach in San Vicente, it takes around 45 minutes by car, and you can either drive there yourself or arrange a transfer with the resort. The short journey takes you away from the busier parts of San Vicente and into a quieter, more secluded part of the area, which makes arriving at the resort feel like a true escape.
The weather wasn’t exactly on our side during our visit, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay. In fact, the rainy weather reminded me that not every trip needs perfect sunshine to be memorable. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet beach, a comfortable stay, good food, and the chance to simply slow down.
Our Stay at Binga Beach Resort
It was already late afternoon when I arrived at Binga Beach Resort. I arrived a day earlier, while my friends joined me the following day. The weather was cloudy, but I was warmly welcomed by the friendly owner and lovely staff. They were very accommodating and made me feel comfortable right away. It was a nice and easy start to my stay, even with the gloomy weather.
Binga Beach Resort has three accommodation options, making it a good choice for couples, families, and small groups. There’s one Mountain View Cabin, which is spacious enough for families or larger groups, and two Seaside Cabins, which can accommodate 2 to 4 guests.
Accommodations in Binga Beach Resort start at around ₱3,300 per night for room only. For a small group or family, that’s a pretty reasonable option if you’re looking for a private and peaceful beach stay in San Vicente. Please note that rates may still vary depending on the season and room type, so it’s best to check with the resort directly when planning your trip.
We stayed in one of the Seaside Cabins, which was spacious and comfortable. It has two queen-size beds, along with a table and an electric fan. The cabin is simple, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The bathroom is located just outside the cabin. Each cabin also has its own veranda with a seating area, where you can sit and relax. There’s also a hammock outside, which is perfect for taking a break and enjoying the quiet surroundings. Overall, the cabin had a simple and cozy setup that made our stay comfortable and relaxing.
Facilities and Things to Do at Binga Beach Resort
Aside from the comfortable accommodations, Binga Beach Resort also has a few facilities and amenities that make the stay more convenient and relaxing. One of the things I appreciated most was the on-site restaurant, which serves food from breakfast to dinner. This was especially convenient since there aren’t many places nearby to eat. And honestly, the food was one of the highlights of our stay. Everything we ordered was delicious, so there was really no need to leave the resort just to look for a good meal.
Another big plus is the fast and reliable WiFi powered by Starlink. I was able to get a reliable internet connection during my stay. Globe mobile signal was also reliable in the area, which is another bonus if you need to use your phone.
But what I loved most about Binga Beach Resort is its beachfront location. The resort sits right along Lumambong Beach and is currently the only resort in the area. Since the weather wasn’t on our side during our visit, we weren’t able to fully enjoy the beach the way we had hoped. Still, I could imagine how beautiful and relaxing it would be on a sunny day.
The resort also offers island activities, which we unfortunately had to skip because of the weather. While it was a bit disappointing not to experience them, I guess that’s also a good reason to come back. Hopefully, next time we’ll have better weather and finally get to explore the surrounding islands and beaches.
Binga Beach Resort became one of my favorite stays simply because it gave me something I needed at the end of the trip: peace and time to slow down. The weather may not have been perfect, and we missed out on some of the activities we had planned, but the quiet surroundings, comfortable stay, good food, reliable WiFi, and genuinely welcoming people still made our visit memorable.
