Living the Island Life at Ferra Resort Siargao
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from visiting Siargao multiple times, it’s that where you stay can really shape your trip. Last February, I spent a week on the island and stayed for three nights at Ferra Resort Siargao. And it easily became one of my favorite stays so far. The resort has a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere, which I really appreciated after several trips here. Its location and overall vibe made it easy for me to slow down and experience a different side of the island.

Ferra Resort Siargao is located in Malinao, General Luna. It is one of laid-back areas in the island that offers a peaceful escape from the usual island crowd while still being close to key spots. The vibe of the resort is calm, cozy, and upscale. It is perfect if you want to enjoy Siargao at a slower pace without losing that tropical island feel.
During my stay, I was lucky enough to experience their newly built Rattan Suite rooms. When I arrived, I honestly didn’t expect a resort this big and well-designed to exist on this side of the island. It felt like a hidden surprise. The Suite rooms were fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed, giving a more private and elevated experience. It was nice having that kind of space while still being surrounded by the relaxed island atmosphere Siargao is known for.
Room
I stayed in a 2-Bedroom Rattan Suite. The room can literally accommodate families and big groups comfortably. I was genuinely stunned because it felt more like a private house than a hotel room. It was huge. So far, this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in on the island. What made my stay even more surprising was the price. The 2-Bedroom Rattan Suite was only around Php5,000 per night as an introductory rate, which felt like such good value for the space and comfort you get.

The 2-Bedroom Rattan Suite comes with two bedrooms, a living area, and a private terrace. I stayed in the master bedroom, which was spacious and thoughtfully designed. It’s fully air-conditioned and has two queen beds, a fridge, and a private bathroom. There’s also a long desk, which I really appreciated since it gave me plenty of space to lay out my things. The other bedroom, meanwhile, has a queen bed, a small desk with a chair, and has its own private bathroom. It’s located just outside the main room, giving it a bit more privacy while still being part of the suite.
One thing I also really liked was the private terrace. It’s perfect for just sitting back and relaxing. The living area was just as comfortable, with a TV and sofa beds that make it ideal for lounging or accommodating extra guests. To top it all off, the Rattan Suite had the best view of the pool, which made the stay even better, especially during slow mornings and relaxed afternoons.

Overall, I really enjoyed my 2-Bedroom Rattan Suite at Ferra Resort Siargao. It honestly exceeded my expectations. The suite gave me the kind of island experience I was looking for. It was peaceful, luxurious, and away from the usual crowd. It was the perfect place for me to slow down and just enjoy Siargao at my own pace.

Facilities

One of the highlights when staying at Ferra Resort Siargao is the facilities. If you stay here, make time to actually enjoy everything that the property offers. It’s part of the island experience.
During my stay, I usually start my mornings by heading straight to the beach since it’s just right in front. No need to go far or plan much. Then, I’d switch things up and spend time by the pool. I love how big and lovely the pool is. The whole place of Ferra Resort Siargao is filled with greenery too. So if you’re into taking photos, there are a lot of nice corners for that island vibe.

For convenience, Ferra Resort Siargao also got an on-site restaurant and Starlink Wi-Fi across the resort, which helps if you need to stay connected. I also liked that the front desk and security are available 24/7. It made the stay feel more secure. If you’re planning tours or transfers, staff of the resort can help arrange those too, so everything feels a bit more seamless.
My stay at Ferra Resort Siargao felt like a reset. It brought back that island lifestyle I always look forward to. The slow mornings, beach time, and days that just flow easily. It’s also one of the more affordable luxury stays you can experience on the island, which makes it even more worth it. By the time I left, I already knew I wanted to come back and experience Ferra Resort Siargao all over again.
