A Day in Marina Bay
One of the activities I was excited about when we went to Singapore is when we visited some of the attractions in Marina Bay, experience the Harry Potter Exhibition and see the impressive Gardens by the Bay.
Marina Bay is a bay located near the central area in the southern part of Singapore. The area is where vast activities take place. In fact, a lot of attractions can be found in this area that surely everyone can enjoy to. Marina Bay is set to develop future projects that will surely give everyone to explore new living and lifestyle options.
Marina Bay Sands Hotel
Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort fronting Marina Bay, which was developed by Las Vegas Sands.
Obviously, it’s one of the most expensive hotels in Singapore with its high-end interior and impressive structure.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
Aside from the well known Orchard Road, one can go shopping at this high-end mall wherein luxury shops and stores can be found.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition
Just in time when we went to Singapore when Harry Potter Exhibit was brought to the country. The exhibit ran for like two or three months. I’m not a die-hard Harry Potter fan but I somehow followed the movies from beginning to end.
Too bad photography is not allowed inside. I’m dying to have my pictures taken with those things which was used in the movie. I was in fact felt amazed when the exhibit started when the guide asked two young ones to see which school they belong too by using the sorting hat. I feel like trying it with myself too, wondering which school I belong too. 😀
Ticket costs SGD 24.00 per person. At the end of the exhibit, there’s a store which sells different stuff inspired by the Harry Potter movie. Well, those merchandise are too expensive for me to buy one but my friend bought a Chocolate Frog. 😀
Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the bay is one of the newest park in Singapore. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden.
It is said that the park is an important project by the Singapore government to transform the country from a ‘Garden City’ to a ‘City in a Garden’. It’s aim is to raise the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city.
What really impresses me about this garden is their super trees. It feels like I’m in the fictional universe of Avatar.
The Bay South Outdoor Gardens which is free for everyone opens from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM daily. While the two gardens have admission fees, which you can check on this link.
I planned to check out the other conservatories and gardens but my companions were already tired of walking so we just walk around the outdoor garden.
Though I wasn’t able to experience all the attractions inside the garden, I was still glad somehow that I was able to have a glimpse of this very impressive and fine garden.
