Coron, The World Underwater

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

While we were amazed how beautiful Coron surface was, we were very delighted how the underwater world Coron has.

Our 2-days island hopping were mostly spent exploring the sea and enjoying the view under it. I barely do snorkeling whenever I go to an island hopping because I can't really see clearly what's under the sea because of my blurred vision. But Coron, no way I will not let it pass whatever my circumstances are.

I actually don't own an underwater camera so I asked a friend if she can lend me her camera during my trip and she willingly provided it to me. I was really glad that I've got an underwater camera during my Coron trip.

It's my first time to shoot using an underwater camera, so please bear with the photos I've taken.

Coron Island Tour. My first attempt on underwater photography happened at Bulog Island. We snorkeled after lunch and explored what can bee seen under the sea.

We're excited to have some fun in the sea! It's one of my friend's first time to try snorkeling. Lyndi was with Kuya Jason all the time because she tends to panic sometimes.

"Sige Ian ikaw ng muro-ami!"

I can't actually see what I'm taking, I just captured everything that looks something clickable to me. ;)

I tried to take a photo capturing both underwater and its surface, but failed. I hope Christian of Lakad Pilipinas could share some underwater photography tutorials on his blog, Travel Photography 101. =)

"Failed! =("

Discovering Coron Island Loop. Not only fishes and corals are can be seen under the sea but shipwrecks as well. Our first activity around Coron Island loop was snorkeling at the shipwreck area near where we had our lunch (which I forgot the name of the island).

"It's not too clear, but that's the shipwreck"

My friend and Kuya Jason, our boatman went near the shipwreck. I would like to dive and get near too but to afraid to do so because it's too deep for me. I know how to swim a little and I was really envied with my friend's swimming and diving skills.

I brought some bread and fed the fishes. It's also a must to stock some bread for the fish feeding.

I allotted some bread for fish feeding even some of my friends were already hungry. Whenever Lyndi asked for bread I always tell her to spare some for the fish. (Inuna pa ang fish kesa sa gutom)

It was joyful whenever the fish get near me whenever I feed them with bread.

Too bad we ran out of bread.

We then proceeded at Twin Lagoon afterwards. There are only few fishes here compared to the first one we've snorkeled.

This is the hole I'm talking about. The hole which you need pass through to get in and out of the inner lagoon. But worry no more, there are provided ladders for those who doesn't know how to swim.

We did some snorkeling too when we went to Kayangan Lake. The water in here is combined of sea water and lake water. Fishes are only few. The lake is  so hollow, I can't barely see the sea/lake ground. Which also made us decide not to get too far.

Kuya Jason took us to a small cave at Kayangan Lake.

It's a must to bring an underwater camera whenever you get to Coron or else you'll feel sorry for not capturing those amazing things under the sea. The world underwater of Coron made me fell in love more with Coron. This place is truly blessed with nature both under the sea and its surface.
