Best Budget-Friendly Hotel in Nagoya? My Stay at Travelodge Nagoya Sakae

I first visited Nagoya two years ago, and coming back reminded me how much I enjoy exploring this city. My first trip was during summer, but this time I arrived in the middle of winter. Same city, but a completely different atmosphere. For me, Nagoya is one of Japan’s underrated destinations. It isn’t as busy as Osaka or Tokyo, but it has its own charm that travelers will surely appreciate. Getting around is easy, and there are plenty of places to stay. But whenever I’m in Nagoya, I already know exactly where I’m checking in — Travelodge Nagoya Sakae.

Travelodge Nagoya Sakae

Travelodge Nagoya Sakae was also where I stayed on my first visit, back when I was traveling with my brother and friends. We ended up loving the experience more than we expected, so when I planned this return trip with another group of friends, booking the same hotel felt like the most natural choice. With its central location, everyday convenience, comfortable rooms, and budget-friendly rates, it’s an easy pick every time.

After an almost three-hour bus ride from Takayama, it was already nighttime when my friends and I arrived in Nagoya. Since we were carrying several pieces of luggage, we took a taxi from Nagoya Station to Travelodge Nagoya Sakae, which took about 10 to 15 minutes. When we reached the hotel, the front desk was ready for our arrival since our room reservation was already in order. We presented our passports, the staff shared a few important details about the hotel, and then handed us our keycards to our rooms.
