I arrived at Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok around 1:00 PM and was warmly greeted by the doorman, which instantly made me feel welcome. The lobby immediately stood out with its great layout and high ceiling. I then went to the check-in counter and presented my identification. The check-in process was smooth and quick, with my key card handed to me in just a few minutes. The front desk also shared some of the activities and facilities I could enjoy during my stay, which added to my excitement.

Seeing my room for my three-day stay in Bangkok was a wonderful surprise. I knew right away it would be hard to leave this hotel. After dropping off my things, I took some time to explore the unit and was greeted with thoughtful welcome treats, which I really appreciated. I was also impressed by the beautifully presented coconut juice with the Somerset logo engraved on it. It was a small but memorable touch that made the stay feel extra special and welcoming.

While looking around my One-Bedroom Premier apartment at Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok, I was really impressed by how spacious it was. The unit features a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living and dining area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. There’s even a washing machine, perfect for guests who need to do laundry during their stay.
Every corner of my One-Bedroom Premier at Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok quickly became a favorite. I loved the fully equipped kitchen, which made it easy to prepare simple meals or enjoy room service and delivery without leaving the unit. The dining area was spacious and perfect for relaxing meals, while the living area featured a comfortable 2-seater sofa and offered a lovely view of the city.
The bathroom was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a separate shower area and a bathtub. The bedroom was incredibly cozy. It features a king-sized bed that made it easy to rest and recharge. This unit truly felt like a home away from home during my stay in Bangkok. It’s definitely one of the best accommodations you’ll find in the city.
Facilities
What also made me feel that Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok is one of the best accommodations in the city was the variety of facilities and activities available for guests. While I planned for a relaxing stay in Bangkok, I couldn’t resist joining some of the hotel’s scheduled activities. I tried the Herb Planting and even attended a Muay Thai class. It was my first time trying Muay Thai, and the coach was patient and helpful, making it easy for me to learn the basics and enjoy the experience.
Another facility that I enjoyed during my stay was the pool area. The hotel also has a resident lounge where you can unwind or get some work done while enjoying a drink. Other facilities include a gym, steam and sauna, conference rooms, massage services, and the in-house restaurants and bars, Splash Bar and Ja Dare Bor’. I tried Ja Dare Bor’ for breakfast, and the buffet had a great mix of local Thai and Western dishes.
The hotel also provides useful amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi, a free shuttle service, concierge, and 24-hour front desk and security.
My stay at Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok gave me the relaxing vacation I had been looking for. The One-Bedroom Premier unit had everything I needed. It’s comfortable, elegantly designed, and truly a perfect retreat. The hotel’s superb facilities made my stay even more enjoyable, from the pool and gym to the restaurants and lounge. What really stood out, however, was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Staying here for three days wasn’t enough. I found myself wishing I could stay here forever. This hotel is truly one of the best accommodations in the city, leaving me longing for more.
