Rainy Weekend Staycation at Makati Junction Hostel

With the rise in numbers of hostel in Metro Manila, it wasn’t a surprise to me that this kind of accommodation is merely not just a place to stay anymore during a trip or travel. It changes through the years that hostels are now becoming more than just rooms with bunk beds to sleep. You can now find some hostels that are equally comfortable and convenient like staying in hotels. These hostels providing chic and modern accommodation plus great facilities. So I won’t be surprised as well if hostels are now becoming a good choice for staycation.

Weekend Staycation at Makati Junction Hostel

To experience this thing as hostel staycation, I invited my friends to check in with me over the weekend at Makati Junction Hostel. I’ve learned about this property through my friends and in social media. The hostel is trendy and hippy that made me interested to check it out.

Coming after from our shift, we went to the hostel and checked in for two nights. The location was pretty easy to find since I am familiar with the area. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood that is just few minutes away from Makati Avenue. Its convenient location is actually near to almost everything in the city.

It was raining. I found the weather also perfect for us to staycation. We were too lazy to get out. My friends and I just wanted to chitchat and goof around. In short, we just wanted to have fun and be lazy.

The hostel is design-driven with industrial-inspired interiors. I love the walls designed to make a statement. Like any other hostels, Junction Hostel has its own house rules, too. With these hugely written Junc Room rules, I supposed no one will ever forget about following these anymore.

There’s a hot and cold shower with free toiletries provided such as shower gel and shampoo. Clean towels are also provided for each. There’s also a hairdryer. The entire room is simply furnished with desk and stool, full-length mirror and personal lockers. While each bed has its own bedside lamp and utility rack with shelves and universal outlets.

The room was clean and comfy. It is equipped with all the basics that we needed to have a relaxing and exciting staycation. The hot quality beds made us felt cosy during our entire stay.

Facilities

The great and useful amenities are the things that I also like about the hostel. The hostel has recreational facilities like billiards. They also have common lounge with a co-working space, TV room, pantry and in house restaurant and bar. I always like the common lounge of hostels because this is the place to mingle with people. Junction Hostel’s common area has a great atmosphere to have conversations with fellow guests or have some drinks from the in house bar.

The TV Room is also a nice spot if you want to watch a movie or TV show. The hostel has a selection of movies that you can choose from. If you want breakfast and snacks, you can order at their own bar and café. You can also bring food and have it eaten in the pantry. They have plates, glasses and utensils that you can use. There’s also a microwave. Just don’t forget to clean as you go.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is also accessible throughout the property.

Our two nights stay at Makati Junction Hostel provided us a great hostel staycation experience. From our room to amenities, it was a nice choice to spend the rainy weekend on this hostel. Our comfortable dorm room, superb facilities and helpful staff made this hostel a good base to stay in Makati whether you’re on staycation or on travel.
