Luxury and Comfort at The District Boracay

“Oh, yes! Boracay again!” The words uttered from my lips when the plane finally landed at the Caticlan Airport. I couldn’t remember how many times I’ve been to Boracay but every visit that I have to this destination always excites me. May it be an adventure trip, a family getaway or a staycation, I find it always very pleasant to be in Boracay. What more now that my memories about Boracay have been added with another enjoyable experience, which is when we had a splendid stay at The District Boracay.

It was past 9:00 AM when I had arrived at the Caticlan Airport. My friends, Paula and Marcos were already waiting for me at the Jetty Port, so as soon as I’ve finished signing up the registration sheet with my details, I went out of the terminal and went to The District Boracay transfer service. I’ve told the staff that we can precede to the port already since my buddies were already there.

Transfer Service

Arranging a transfer service from the resort gave us so much convenience. My friends and I didn’t have to line up for us to buy the necessary tickets and so on, but only have to wait for the staff to lead us the way. In times wherein there are right number of guests from The District Boracay who avail the resort’s transfer service, the resort takes its guests to its appointed port wherein they have their own service boat that transports their guests to Boracay Island. The transfer service might be more costly than doing it by your own but just imagine the convenience you’ll get in transferring from airport to the seaport and to the hotel. Moreover, it gives more ease and avoids hassles during peak season wherein there are a lot of tourists transferring from Caticlan to Boracay Island and vice versa.

It was before noontime when we had reached The District Boracay. This beachfront luxury resort is conveniently located along Station 2 of White Beach. It is effortlessly accessible from the main road through a short walk from the pathway at Station 1, or through a small alleyway from the main road. As soon as we got inside the resort, we were greeted by the staff and were given the usual cold towels and refreshments. We were asked to fill up the sheet for our room check in, and after a few minutes, the receptionist gave us our room keycard. A staff then accompanied us to our room that is located at the second floor of the resort building.

Rooms

The District Boracay currently has 48 contemporary minimalist rooms and suites. The accommodation comes into the following types: Deluxe Room, Premier Room, Deluxe Suite and Premier Suite. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with flat screen TV/s, private veranda, mini-bar, in-room safe, coffee and tea making facility, IDD and NDD telephone and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Each room also has a private bathroom that comes with complete bathroom amenities, hot and cold shower, and hair dryer.

Our room was a Deluxe Room with 2 queen-size beds. We were 3 but our room can still comfortably accommodate up to 4 persons. Our room has a private veranda that provided us an impressive view of the pool. Some rooms in the resort have a direct access to the pool and others offer a nice view of the resort or the beach.

Our group was also able to see another type of room that the resort has. Mr. Odjie, the resort manager, gladly escorted us to an available Premier Room. The room is elegantly appointed with chic amenities. The room has a comfortable king size bed. The room also has a private veranda. Some rooms of this kind also have a double vanity sink and a daybed.

Connecting rooms and handicapped rooms are also available in the resort.

Each booked accommodation comes with free buffet breakfast for the guest/s.

Facilities

Aside from our cozy room, what the resort handed us to make our stay even more comforting and luxurious were their upscale facilities. The resort takes pride of its in house bar and restaurant, prime beach area, the lap pool, and conference facility.

Amongst the facilities situated inside the resort, what we enjoyed the most was the lap pool with Jacuzzi. It was early morning the next day when we were able to try it. The pool is 5-ft deep. The area isn’t that spacious but it’s a perfect place inside the resort to lounge around if you don’t feel like going out of the premises. There are some sun loungers placed on the poolside that guests can use.

However, what we had really loved about The District Boracay is its prime beach area. The resort has an easy access to the beach, so it was very convenient for us whenever we want to get some “vitamin sea”. The resort also has huts and sun loungers at the beach area, which are for the exclusive use of the resort guests.

But too bad we didn’t able to spend some time there because we were busy inside our room, at the pool area and at the roof deck of Star Lounge wherein it offers a stunning view of the powdery stretch of White Beach.

It was noontime the next day when we checked out from the resort. We were saddened by it but our sadness meant only one thing; we had truly adored our stay in The District Boracay and we wouldn’t want to leave too soon. The kind service and high-end amenities that the resort offered to us made our vacation in Boracay more comforting and luxurious than ever. With such satisfying experience, I think my level of excitement about going back to Boracay got even further.
