Dinner Out at Bob’s Cafe

I was delighted when I’ve learned that Bob’s Cafe Bacolod already has a branch in Makati. It was part of my itinerary to try this restaurant when I went to Bacolod but due to lack of time, I wasn’t able to try it.

Last week, my office mates asked to have a dinner out somewhere in Ayala Triangle Gardens, but most of the restaurants are jam packed so I asked them to have dinner at Bob’s Cafe in Dela Rosa St. instead. We were able to secure our seats at the restaurants easily since there were only few diners at that time.

Bob’s cafe has array of choices which includes burgers, pasta, sizzler, grilled and the usual hits from home food.

My office mates kept asking me what’s the best seller here, and told them that it’s the Sate Babe. As long as I wanted to try most of the menu, most of them wanted Sate Babe.

Food was served 15 – 20 minutes after.

Bob’s Famous Sate Babe with Sate Rice (PHP 145.00) – what made this dish famous is because of the peanut sauce. It was so good that I even asked for an extra rice. The meal includes a sate rice, 2 sticks of sate babe (like barbecue) and atsara on the side.

Bob’s Chicken Sate Rice (PHP 175.00) – grilled chicken with sate rice. I wasn’t able to taste this one because I was already busy with my Sate Babe.

Chicken Milanese (PHP 195.00) – red sauce pasta with 2 piece of chicken breast on top of the noodles. The taste was good, nothing special with the pasta but I love how the chicken breast tasted. The meat is moist and tender.

Bob’s Big Boy Cheeseburger (PHP 160.00) – I was expecting too much from their Big Boy Cheeseburger, but it looks blunt and dry when it was served to us. But don’t judge it until you taste it, isn’t it? We sliced the burger into 4 since it was too big and we’re almost full. The burger patty is really good, it was all meat. There was nothing special in the burger but it was good, indeed.

It was a sumptuous and costly dinner out (dahil nagtitipid na ako) but it was all worth it. I was happy that I was able to try it after a long time of passing by on this restaurant along Dela Rosa St. ‘Til the next dinner out, hopefully it’s already Kanin Club! 🙂
