(Sarap ng Libre) Perfect Treats... Eat out!

Friday, July 29, 2011

1st Treat. When my cousin asked me to accompany her to buy a laptop, I agreed instantly because I know she'll going to treat me. Hehehe... She asked me some suggestions of good restaurants to eat to and I told her, Papa John's.

Papa John's (Better Ingredients, Better Pizza). The first time I've known this restaurant was when they opened a branch in Robinson's Galleria. I love pizza and pasta so I was really longing to try out this one when they branched out in Megamall. Their menu typically consists of Pizza, Pasta, Soup and Salad, and with Side items like cheese sticks, bread sticks, and potato wedges. To check out their menu, you may click this link

Their pasta are already good for 2 so we ordered two pasta for the 4 of us, 12" medium sliced pizza and potato wedges.

Gloomy Weather in Boracay Island

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Boracay is still beautiful as it is. I don't know how it looks like before but I see Boracay as still finest as it is. Like what Mapanuri said, whether sunny or cloudy, Boracay will just the same everytime, beautiful as always. :)

To enjoy most of the island, explore the island on a Paraw (sail boat).

D* Mall & D* Talipapa of Boracay

Sunday, July 17, 2011

D* Mall. One of the famous landmark in Boracay is the D' Mall, located at Station 2 (starting from the main road up to the Station 2). Great finds are available in the area which includes stores selling souvenirs, shirts and beach stuff. As well as bar and restaurants wherein you can indulge yourself for your food cravings or if you're in a cheap budget, you can go for Mang Inasal or Andok's.

Not only that, Ferris Wheel and D' Wall were also available in D' Mall for kiddos who love some thrill and adventures.

Boracay Adventures

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Boracay is not just beach and party, Boracay has also something to offer in terms of adventure.

Para sailing. On our first day, we tried para sailing.

Parasailing, also known as parascending, is a recreational activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat) while attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail. The boat then drives off, carrying the parascender into the air. If the boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. The parascender has little or no control over the parachute. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasailing

I've read online that the best to contact for para sailing is Diamond Water Sports, good thing it's on our way to Jonah's Fruit Shake store. We made our reservation at 5:00 PM for para sailing.

Surprisingly, the rate per person is PHP 1,700 (by 2's or 3's) and PHP 2,000 for solo, for 15 minutes of para sailing. But we got it for PHP 1,500 each because they have 10 % promo discount that day (or for off peak season).

Boracay by Night

Sunday, July 10, 2011

Play all day and party all night, that's what Boracay is! You can do the same to relax and to party hard by night. By 6:00 PM, restaurants and bars are starting to set up their tables for dinner... and  party / chill out. There are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from, there are Italians, American, Indian cuisines to name a few but we opted to have a buffet dinner by the beach.

Buffet Dinner by the Beach. We had our dinner at Alf's Resto, just near (infront) of Gasthof Boracay Restaurant.  The buffet (eat all you can) costs PHP 350.00 which includes one bottle of drink (Pepsi / Mirinda). There are numerous dishes to choose from the buffet table but when you say buffet, I always looked for their sea foods first.

The sea food buffet consists of shrimp, crab, tuna, grilled oyster and clam. :)

I'm in Boracay Beach!

Friday, July 8, 2011

Yes, I've been to Boracay for the first time! It was my local dream destination then but I wonder why only now? I never raved for Boracay as my destination whenever there's an airline seat sale, maybe because it's always sold out? I wonder but thank you airline promos I was able to book round trip tickets for only PHP 500 less.

It was a high school friends trip to Boracay but since the tickets were booked a year ago, things have changed. From 8 down to 2 who went to Boracay. But that doesn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful island of Boracay.

Me and my best (my companion), has a different flight, my flight was 5:30 AM and my best was at 6:30 AM so I still waited for her at the Caticlan Airport before going to the port.

Dinner Out @ Bob's Cafe

Sunday, July 3, 2011

Bob's Cafe since 1965. I was delighted when I've learned that Bob's Cafe Bacolod has a branch in Makati. It was part of my itinerary to try this restaurant when I had my trip to Bacolod then but due to lack of time, I wasn't able to try it.

Last week, my office mates asked to have a dinner out somewhere in Ayala Triangle Gardens, but most of the restaurants are jam packed so I asked them to have dinner at Bob's Cafe in Dela Rosa St. instead.

We were able to secure our seats at the restaurants easily since there are only few diners at that time.
